Motivation vs Inspiration

Vallabh Chitnis - IntuiWell - Motivation vs Inspiration

Motivation is the most overrated drug in self-improvement.

It gives people a rush.
And they mistake that rush for change.

One good video.
One sharp post.
One workshop.
One deep conversation.

Suddenly they feel ready.

This time I’ll do it.
This time I’ll be consistent.
This time things will change.

Then normal life comes back.

Work pressure.
Low energy.
Bad sleep.
Distraction.
Old habits.

And now the same person says, “Nothing is working.”

That is usually not true.

Something worked.
The feeling worked.
It just did not stay.

That is motivation.

It can get you started.
It cannot carry you for long.

Inspiration is different.

Motivation makes you feel like starting.
Inspiration gives you a reason to continue.

Motivation is a quick push.
Inspiration stays with you a little longer.

That is the part most people miss.

They keep chasing the feeling.
They never build what will hold them after the feeling is gone.
