Happy Teacher’s Day

Vallabh Chitnis - IntuiWell - Happy Teachers Day

Our first teacher is life itself, and the last lesson comes with our final breath.
I have realized that every stage of life gives us a teacher if we choose to remain students.

Happy Teacher's Day. Vallabh Chitnis - IntuiWell

As a child, my parents taught me discipline and values.
But I also learned resilience from falling, failing, and trying again.

As a student, I thought teachers held all the answers.
Then one day, a classmate explained a programming concept I couldn’t grasp. That moment taught me humility. Wisdom doesn’t come only from authority.

As a professional, I assumed I was the mentor.
Then a junior once questioned my decision in a meeting. My first instinct was to dismiss it. But when I listened, I realized he was right. That stung. That was growth.

And as a leader, I’ve realized my toughest teacher is my ego.
Every time it whispers “You already know this” or “You’re too experienced to be challenged,” it’s pointing straight at a blind spot.
Learning to tame it has unlocked more potential in me than any book or mentor ever could.

If I look back, some people have knowingly guided me, others unknowingly revealed blind spots I didn’t see. Both were equally valuable.

The truth is, we all meet people who unlock abilities we didn’t know we had. Sometimes through encouragement, sometimes through criticism, sometimes through silence.

The only question is: are we humble enough to grasp the lesson, or too egoistic to see it? If you stay open, every moment teaches.
Every person becomes a teacher. Every challenge turns into growth.

This Teacher’s Day, I thank not just my teachers, but also life, my ego, and every unseen lesson that shaped me.

Who was the last unexpected teacher in your journey?
