The Lean Mindset

Steve Jobs was obsessed with removing distractions.

When he returned to Apple in 1997, the company had 300+ products. He cut it down to 10.

His reason?

“Deciding what not to do is as important as deciding what to do.”

Steve Jobs

Most professionals think success comes from doing more: more meetings, more decisions, more commitments.

But the best leaders don’t add. They subtract.

They remove distractions, cut inefficiencies, and focus only on what really makes a difference.

Try this today:

  1. Drop 3 Low-Value Tasks
  • Look at your schedule.
  • Cut three things that take time but don’t drive real results.
  1. Start with an Empty Calendar
  • Instead of filling your day, add only what is essential.
  • If it doesn’t truly matter, leave it out.
  1. Pause Before Saying Yes
  • Before committing, ask: “Is this worth my time?”
  • If not, say no without guilt.

Success is about doing less but better.
