Endless support feels great, but it’s secretly toxic.
Here is the harsh truth nobody tells you:
Your closest allies, personally and professionally, might be your biggest roadblock.
Constant praise and easy agreement make me feel comfortable, but comfort kills growth.
You grow fastest through friction, disagreement, and brutally honest feedback, not endless validation.
Do List – Question – Act (LQA) exercise today:
1. List 3 close personal friends and 3 trusted professional allies.
2. Question yourself: Do they challenge your ideas or mostly agree to keep things comfortable?
3. Act: This week, talk directly to someone who frequently disagrees with you.
Ask bluntly: “Tell me one honest thing I need to hear that everyone else avoids telling me.”
Their answer might sting. That means it’s working.
Growth doesn’t live inside comfort. It thrives in uncomfortable honesty.
