You probably know something needs to change. But somehow, you keep ending up in the same place.
You avoid a difficult conversation because you don’t know how the other person will react. You worry about money, but keep putting off decisions. You stay in a job, role or relationship that no longer feels right because changing it feels even more uncertain.
You replay conversations long after they are over. You say yes when you want to say no, then get irritated with yourself later. You look at others and quietly wonder, “Am I falling behind?”
You know you are capable, but still doubt yourself before an important decision. You want to speak up, but hold back. You know something needs to change, but keep waiting for the “right time.”
And somewhere along the way, you tell yourself: I need to stop overthinking. I need to be more confident. I need more discipline. I should be able to handle this better.
So you change routines. Set new goals. Try new habits. Sometimes you change jobs, relationships or environments.
And after a while, some of the same struggles show up again.
That is when an uncomfortable question may be worth asking:
What part of this is actually mine?
My reactions. My fears. What I avoid. What I tolerate. Where I seek approval. The stories I keep telling myself.
That is Inner Work.
Looking at what is happening within you instead of only trying to change what is happening around you.
A lot of the work we do in IntuiWell’s Personal Growth Program starts there:
understanding the pattern before trying to change the outcome.
Maybe the question is not only, “What needs to change?”
But:
When was the last time you did Inner Work?
