It always starts small. But it never stays small.

Vallabh Chitnis - IntuiWell - It always starts small. But it never stays small.

It always starts small. But it never stays small.

You fight with your partner and walk away, giving silent treatment.
You catch your kid lying and ignore it.
You spend a little extra “just this month.”
You skip one workout. One cheat meal.
You scroll, smoke, or binge to take the edge off.
You avoid giving feedback to a long-serving employee.

You don’t see anything wrong – nothing concerning.
Just silence. Delay. A shrug.

So you move on.
But then…

Your home becomes quieter. Not peaceful – just distant.
Your child stops sharing. Not just homework but emotions.
Your credit card bill now gives you anxiety.
Your body doesn’t feel like yours anymore.
Your habits start running you.
Your team stops trusting your standards.

Not because it got complicated.
But because you let it grow.
It was a time bomb waiting to explode.

Let’s rewind.
These weren’t giant problems.
They were tiny, fixable moments. Ignored.
And now… you’re in cleanup mode.

Even nature doesn’t wait.

A tree senses decay in one branch and cuts off supply.
Swiftly. Without guilt. To protect the whole.
Nature doesn’t delay. Nature acts.

And in our world?
A small crack in the wall? Easy to fix.
Wait too long, and you’re rebuilding the foundation.

You don’t need more strength.
You need less delay.

The situation is not the problem.
The emotion you’re avoiding is.

– Fear of conflict.
– Guilt about saying no.
– Shame about slipping.
– Pride in not asking for help.
– Comfort in routine.
– Anxiety about outcomes.

That’s what’s holding you back. So ask yourself:
What small situation are you avoiding because you don’t want to feel what comes with it?

It won’t stay small.
But it can still be simple if you act now.

Because, in nature, diseased branches get cut.
In life, delayed decisions do the same to you.
