“Not My Problem” Is the Modern Plague

“Not My Problem” Is the Modern Plague

You must have noticed these:
– A lie in the client pitch
– A toxic manager left unchecked
– A room that stays silent when someone’s mistreated

And no one says anything…..

The reasons given?
“Not my role”
“Not my fight”
“Not my problem”

But silence isn’t neutral. It’s permission.
History doesn’t just remember the wrongdoers. It also remembers the bystanders.

Why do people stay out of it? Because they:

  • Don’t want drama
  • Fear losing influence
  • Think someone else will handle it
  • Believe it won’t change anything
  • Don’t want to risk their job
  • Are too burned out to engage
  • Tell themselves it’s “not their place”
  • Confuse politeness with professionalism
  • Don’t want to become “that person”
  • Are afraid of retaliation
  • Feel powerless, small, replaceable
  • Have just gotten used to looking away

That’s how decay spreads.
Through decent people choosing comfort over courage.

The truth:
Leadership isn’t your title.
It’s what you refuse to ignore.

Courage isn’t spontaneous.
It’s practised.

That’s the work we’ve been doing through IntuiWell’s Personal Growth Program — training the mindset to act when it matters most.

Ask yourself:
What are you calling “not my problem”… that actually is?
