Missed a promotion? Lost an opportunity? Feeling overlooked?
It stings, right? But what if the real problem isn’t life but how we see it?
Epictetus puts it:
“Life is like a banquet.”
When something comes your way, take it with gratitude. If it skips you, don’t chase or sulk. Just trust your turn will come.
Acceptance is power. You can’t force timing, and you can’t control every outcome.
But you can control your response. The more you accept, the less life controls you.
Next time things don’t go your way, stop.
Ask,
“Can I control this?” – If yes, act. If not, release it.
Don’t let what’s out of your hands steal your peace.
The real feast in life isn’t about getting everything you want. It is about enjoying what’s in front of you.
